Serving Size
There are two different standard cake serving sizes; a dessert serve and a coffee serve.
A dessert serve is based on a slice of cake that is cut into a 2'‘ x 1'‘ piece (x height of the cake). This is a good option if the cake is the only sweet item served at an event.
A coffee serve is half a dessert serve, 1” x 1” (x height of the cake). A coffee serve is perfect if there are other desserts on offer at your event.
Cake Size
Our standard size cakes have 3 layers and are approximately 4 - 5 inches high.
Our extended cake is 5 layers of cake, 7 - 8 inches high, giving the cake a taller look. The cake slices are cut in half again to double the serves.
We will help guide you on the best size cake, taking into consideration the aesthetic outcome you are after and what type of event the cake is for. It’s important to remember, the servings per cake are dependant on how the cake is cut. It is best to use our supplied cake cutting guide to ensure you get the correct amount of serves.
